A few years ago, telecom company Warp2Biz founders David Hellmold and James Lamanna were approached by representatives from an EMR/EHR software company asking for help solving issues medical practices experienced with receiving faxes in their EMR software. The inherent problem is that they could not simply "plug" an old analog fax line into an EMR system; it was more complicated. Getting faxes to appear in the system meant their customer had to keep their old analog fax lines and purchase a fax server and modem board which - are both very costly, error-prone, and require routine on-site maintenance. The method traditionally was described as a "Legacy Fax Server System", or in modern-day telecommunications "old relics from the past", or most recently in the medical practice community, known as a PITA (pain-in-the-ass).

Both David and James decided they could not sit around, allowing medical practices to waste money and endure any more pain and aggravation then they needed to; after all, for every Fax Server & Modem purchased, practices were throwing away potentially over $1000 spent in equipment, not including visits from an IT guy (charged per hour); and Analog Lines...well, unless you're a fire alarm or an elevator, why would you want an analog line?

Needless to say, a few months later, the first version of the software running on our EMRFaxBox devices was created, revolutionizing faxing in the EMR software community forever. Equipment junkyards nationwide were up-in-arms after receiving unprecedented loads of old Fax Servers & Modems and Analog Lines...you get the picture. One thing for sure was that medical practices managers were rejoicing, finally able to surgically remove the fax server firmly attached to their bottom.

In all seriousness, EMRFaxBox eventually expanded its offering to include cloud-based fax storage at no extra charge to practices across the U.S. who needed reliable, secure access to faxes in their EMR system, available anytime/anywhere.

Recently, EMRFaxBox began working with software companies in other industries to assist them with the same problem. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or opportunities to discuss with us at support@emrfaxbox.com or visit our Partners page.

Thanks for your interest in working with EMRFaxBox.
